Brian & Holly Boland started out in Colorado working for the largest and most successful saddle horse company in the world. Then found that the west was still alive in Nevada, and moved to a huge 40,000 acre Ranch in Nevada where the old ways where still being practiced and kept secret. It was here where Brian Learned the methods and way of the Buckaroo and vaqueros. if a Cowboy would come to the mountain then Nevada was that mountain.
We specialize in Traditional Vaquero or Californios, Style Horsemanship and Training. This is the way Tom Dorrance, Bryan Newbert, Ray hunt, and other vaquero style horseman that Started with a young horse and worked with them to achieve confidence, and basic manners, then training the 2 year old for the saddle, using the Hackmor, then into the Two Rein, then Straightup in the Bridle. The horse achieves a true partnership with the horseman, and is very light in response. This process is not a 90 day training process this is 2 to 3 year process to achieve a true bond with your horse. Once you ride one of these finished horses other horse training falls far short of the contact and communication level you will have with your horse!!
